Nokia Withings Steel HR Review

The hybrid Withings received a new brand name and now known as the Nokia Withings Steel. According to the experts, the design and software have improved. Even with the experts’ feedback what do other sports users feel about this hybrid smartwatch?

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • Sports users are pleased with the two different sizes available that fit even skinny wrists.
  • Swimmers like the 50-meter waterproof rating and the added sapphire glass make sure it stays that way.
  • Most users found the monochrome screen, easy to use to see their fitness tracking data and displays calls plus notifications.
  • Wellness users are pleased with the step counts, calories burned, heart rate monitoring, and distance.
  • A standout for most consumers is that the tracker automatically detects their activities from running to swimming, but not as detailed when using GPS.
  • Most athletes had a good experience with the optical heart rate sensor very accurate.
  • Professionals found the app useful and display a snapshot of your activities for the day.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • Compared to the Withings model many users expected an upgrade to use 3rd –party apps such as Whatsapp and been left disappointed.
  • The fact that it does track your sleep automatically is great, but is not displayed on the device and relayed to the Nokia Health Mate app. Most fitness users would have liked to see it displayed on their wrist.

Verdict:

If you need a great performer without the need for continuously charging your fitness tracker, the Nokia Steel HR offers you the best. For the runner, swimmer and wellness user the smartwatch offers you enough features to keep track of your daily activities. However, it is not as perfect as buying one with a GPS tracker.
