Nokia Withings Pulse Review

Withings Pulse is an amazing fitness tracker which sort of looks like an iPod and it can be worn in your pocket or clipped on some part of your clothing. The design is predominantly black with blue neon letters which display your current progress towards reaching your daily step goal. It comes with a heart rate monitor which can detect your current heart rate and compare it to different parts of the day and provide detailed statistics. Unfortunately, the tracker is not water resistant or waterproof so don’t allow it to get wet.

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • The large OLED screen can hold a lot of data at once and the overall design is quite stunning.
  • If you always wanted to get fit, you can use the companion app to get some advice on staying healthy and losing weight.
  • Customers have reported that the battery life is quite good and better than expected. It can last up to 15 days.
  • They also claim how the heart rate monitor performs instantly and accurately.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • The tracker’s users often complain that the screen is almost unreadable when exposed to direct sunlight because of its weak brightness.
  • Some people simply want to wear their fitness tracker on their wrist since it’s always in plain sight.

Verdict:

This tracker pretty much covers the basics; it can track your heart rate, the distance you cover each day, and it will analyze your eating and sleeping habits and provide feedback according to the data. One of the main problems is caused by the fact that you need to use Bluetooth to sync all the time, making it somewhat difficult to sync your data with a PC. It all comes down whether you prefer your fitness tracker on your wrist or in your pocket. If you prefer the latter, Withings Pulse surely won’t let you down.
