LG Lifeband Touch Review

If you need fitness tracker that looks like techno jewelry you might find the LG Lifeband Touch pleasing. The majority of expert sports users found the device nifty to use and look more like a bangle than a wrist strap. The Lifeband Touch has a touchscreen, menu button, features a three-axis accelerometer, altimeter, and communicates with Android and iOS fitness apps. However, what do the majority athletes think about this device? Stay a while and found out.

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • The real power of the device according to different sports users is the LG Fitness app. It keeps track of your steps, records workout and calories burned while connected to the app using GPS. They found setting up the app easy with detailed instructions.
  • One more important feature runners found helpful is the vibrating alarm and offers up to 5 recurring vibration alarms set via the app. The alarm informs you when a call comes in and shows the caller ID that is a big help. The downside mentioned by most consumers is that they could barely feel the vibration.
  • A standout feature all fitness fanatics love is the fact that they only need to turn their wrist to turn the display on.
  • One customer mentioned that you could use the Smartband with RunKeeper and MapMyRun.
  • According to one professional runner, you can use the LG Fitness app with 3rd-party heart-rate monitors and other apps.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • Compared to some other leading brands users found the Touch display unreadable outdoors and for runners, this is not great. They need to stop and cover their hand over the screen to be able to see the data displayed. Even when used indoors during the day the screen is terrible.
  • Another major problem joggers and runners found is the music control mode, as it did not line up with the graphics to use it.
  • One big turn down for iPhone users is that they cannot receive text-notifications and call features to their phone.

Verdict:

The LG Lifeband Touch is a full-featured fitness smart band with a solid build. One important thing is that LG listens to their customer complaints and have made the tracker with an always-on display.
