Garmin Vivoki Review

Garmin has decided to release two similar fitness trackers at the same time; the Vivoki and the Vivofit. Let's take a look at the smaller Vivoki version which just might be the one everyone is looking for. First of all, it is a very small clip-on fitness tracker which can be attached to a part of your clothing and worn discretely. It will track your usual activities such as calorie burning and steps but the result might be as accurate as the place where you choose to clip it on.

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • It offers a great battery life which can easily exceed six months if it’s not worn every day.
  • It is very compact and easy to wear since you can simply put it in your pocket and begin your activity.
  • Your every activity is synced wirelessly so you can immediately have access to it using your smartphone or your browser.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • This is actually one of the rare fitness trackers which doesn’t measure the quality of your sleep at all.
  • It definitely lacks certain functionality such as a heart rate monitor, a GPS tracker, or even a clock or a stopwatch to measure time.
  • It doesn’t feature a display at all and it only uses LED lights.
  • You can’t wear it to the swimming pool as it is only partially water resistant.
  • You can lose it easily because of its small dimensions.

Verdict:

Garmin could have definitely jammed some more features on their fitness tracker because they definitely bumped up the price. This fitness tracker will definitely appeal to some potential customers because of its small dimensions and the ability to wear it easily. However, when you are paying the price which is quite high, you expect at least some advanced features. Apart from not having any special features, it doesn’t even measure your sleep quality not does it shows a clock or a stopwatch feature. There are better fitness trackers for the price.
