Fossil Q Explorist Review

The Fossil Q Explorist has a design made for men. This wearable is more of a fashion statement and does not keep track of your heart rate. However, it still attracted our attention. As it is not a fitness wearable what did consumers thing about this watch, let us find out.

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • The first positive thing we noted from different male users is the outstanding five casings and band options available. The fact that they could choose either leather or stainless steel one is great.
  • A professional runner mentioned that the touchscreen is great and he only needs to swipe or tap on it to see notifications while running. Another standout for him was the middle crown you can rotate to access the different lists.
  • The fact that most sportsmen listen to music while working out and take calls is a great feature to have. One professional trainer found this helpful and said that the sound is great through the included speakers.
  • One more superb thing mentioned by a businessperson is the fact that you can swap out bands a with the release pins you can get a perfect fit.
  • Another executive mentioned he loved the fact that he could personalize the watch as it works with the latest Android Wear 2.0 operating system. He also mentioned that he uses the Google Assistant most of the time and speaks his request.
  • What most sports fanatics loved is the integration with some of the top fitness apps available online, such as, Google Fit, RunKeeper, and Strava.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • One of the negatives for this wearable is the weight one consumer mentioned it does weigh more than your latest smartphone, but has an excellent build and packed with outstanding hardware.
  • One professional executive mentioned the fact that you need to find and install apps directly to the smartwatch is a bit of a problem.
  • Another negative all men mentioned is that you need to charge the watch every day.

Verdict:

If you want a smartwatch to pair with your Android mobile device, it will blend in well with work and play. The Fossil Q Explorist does not have the important heart rate monitor, but connects to different fitness apps. The great thing is the watch is available at an affordable price.
