Fitbit Ionic Review

Fitbit stands above the rest when it comes to tracking your health, and the same applies for this smartwatch. Sports enthusiasts love the all-inclusive tools and the long-lasting battery with bonuses. But is this all this fitness watch has to offer when it comes to using it, let us look closer.

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • To a certain extent, exercise users like the lightweight aluminum build compared to other fitness watches. Another great benefit is that you can swap the wristbands out.
  • Swimmers found the waterproof design helpful and the swim tracking is accurate. Now you can take it with you in the shower and out to the pool.
  • Consumers like the bright display of the full-color screen offering you a 384 x 250 display. For athletes this is a big help when running outdoors and easy to read.
  • From the jogger, swimmer, to a weightlifter found the inbuilt workouts easy to use and follow.
  • Athletes found the built-in GPS tracking and heart rate monitor fantastic and accurate.
  • Joggers loved the new automatic pause function a big help when stopping at robot crossing.
  • Health and fitness users found the tailored workouts a big help and the fact that they can provide feedback to the Fitbit coach. The coach then advises you if you need something easier or harder to do with your next session.
  • The battery life of up to five days use on a single charge is a highlighted feature mentioned by all experts.
  • Many users love the new contactless payment and work well when moving the wrist.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • A big complaint by many professionals is the touchscreen that is slow to respond.
  • Another big objection is the limited selection of 3rd party apps.
  • Joggers found downloading the music limited as there is not loads of different genres to listen to while running.

Verdict:

The Fitbit Ionic is a fantastic fitness tracker and great to use with your daily exercise routine. The biggest problem is that you must not expect the same functions found in other smart watches. If you are a professional swimmer, you might not find the fitness tracker suitable for your use. However, if you only want the basics in a health tracker this is the one to buy.
