Amazfit Stratos Review

Everyone knows that a fitness watch is not cheap. However, the Amazfit Stratos is one of those affordable packages you can buy. The smartwatch has Bluetooth music streaming, GPS, an activity tracker, and more. But what are the experts saying about the design, features, display, and functions in this fitness tracker?

Pros / What Customers Like:

  • Gym goers are pleased with the VO2max oxygen consumption measurement from Strava and work wonderfully.
  • The majority of users love the flat tire-laden display that is similar to the Moto 360. Everyone loves the stainless steel buttons, carbon fiber etching around the case and the waterproof design.
  • Joggers found the touchscreen a big help when running, but the interface was un-intuitive and takes time getting to use too.
  • Gym goers to runners found using the GPS easy to use and being able to listen to stored music with their Bluetooth wireless headphones a breeze.
  • The professionals said they like the fact that they could customize the watch faces.
  • Furthermore, athletes are happy with the battery life. They advised they could easily run a marathon listening to music, using the heart rate on, and the GPS.
  • Sports users found all the workout types useful for running, cycling, elliptical machine use, and more.
  • Swimmers found using the watch to keep track of their reps while swimming accurate. The fact that you can pause your progress is a big help.
  • Everyone found the built-in heart rate sensor accurate and does a fine job.
  • Although the GPS and GLONASS tracking are not fast, the majority of users found the GFX export feature a big help.
  • Swimmers found the screen for outdoor and indoor use clear. But they found it difficult to view the screen beneath the water.
  • Experts praised the wearable customizable options for modifying their work out and changing the stat fields when you run/swim/cycle.

Cons / What Customers Don't Like:

  • Certain athletes like the new design of the fitness watch, but found it a bit bulky compared to other devices.
  • Athletes found the buttons to use the different menus unbearable and prefer using the touchscreen.
  • Users found listening to music a great function, but it does not have playlist support.

Verdict:

If you are looking for a little extra when it comes to fitness wearables, the Stratos will serve you well. The smartwatch you can buy at a lower price compared to other brands and packed with every sought-after fitness feature.
